Anna's Birthday Invitation - Sweetheart
I have been "commissioned" a few times to make invitations for parties, mostly to friends and family, and I love making them. Here is a first birthday invitation created for a Sweetheart theme to match the party. I thought they came out really cute. I really like this particular basic map for this card with the lengthwise with a white card peaking out of the pocket. One of the requirements for the card was to include the adorable picture of their daughter who was just kissed by a Disney Princess.
The heart and the cupcake are not SU! stamps but the rest are. You're Invited is from Sincere Salutations(which I really love but I wish they would update) and the #1 is from Whimsical.
Gel Card
Under the techniques under my new favorite website: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/
I found directions for a gel card that uses a zip lock bag and some hair gel to create "water" that is see through. I decided to use my one and only fish stamp set that I have (from Little Layers, retired) and I had my also retired Cold Play sitting on my desk because I had just bought it. I thought the snowman circles made perfect bubbles!
The card was quite successful but since I don't have the Coluzzle, making perfect layering ovals proved to be a challenge with my Creative Memories shaper thing so I just used a wavy lined cutter (also Creative memories) to create the "square" that the bag is held down by. When I added the eyelets, I was a little confused as to if it should go through the bag. Yes it would hold it in place but would it hold in the hair gel? I think only time will tell with that. Overall cute cards. I would be afraid to mail them so either a padded envelope or a handed to the person present will be what will make me give this card away :). I might add a tag at the lower part of the card depending on the occasion.

Awesome website and my cute onesie baby card
So I found this website that I am in love with. The ideas are endless and for the most part they highlight SU! stuff but I also like the addition of other tools as well since the reality of it is, using everything else you have too is wise and there is a lot of good stuff out there to use. Here is a card that I did that was the first one that I CASEd (Copy And Share with Everyone) from their gallery. If you have time, peruse their gallery, there are some good ideas and the collections are organized by stamp sets and techniques. Very smart!
Anyway, here is the card:
I thought they came out SO cute. I used Riveting for the circle emellie. I found a template for the onesie but I changed it to make the back part of the onesie show (if that makes any sense). I thought it added an extra touch. I added the tag part as well from another onesie idea that I found.
Too cute right?

SU! Crazy
I am Stampin Up! mad. It all started on a fateful hot summer afternoon when my demonstrator found me at the Bartlett summer festival. As soon as I saw what the deal was, I was hooked! It is only recently that I have become stamping nuts. I have more time on my hands (my kids are a little older, 3 and 1) and I am no longer working part time. I spend way too much time and money on stamping cards and scrapbook pages but I have gotten much better about finally giving things away! I have taken to actually scanning my creations rather than hording them so others can enjoy. In this blog, I am going to post information about current projects and tidbits of how I would do things better or differently next time. I will also add info on things that I WANT to do in the future. I am not just a stamper nut though, I do crafts of all kinds so I am sure some of that will make it in here as well. I am nuts for all that stuff!
